HTML 5 Video won't play in IE9
Yesterday I discovered an issue with our html5 video player and IE9 (only). It seems that no matter what video I tried to play (any site on the planet) I could hear the audio, but not see the video. I knew that the issue had to be bigger than my player specifically, so I started to rule out things as I went, discovering that it was actually a setting in the VMWare.
Turn off 3D hardware acceleration – a setting on the VM. That did it. You can read more about this issue at this website.
